Find out what's happening in Opera - New York City and around the World

- Amato Opera of New York City
Check out their "Operas in Brief". It's a great idea for the kids.

- Bronx Opera

- Center for Contemporary Opera

- DiCapo Opera Theater

- Opera Orchestra of New York

- Symphony Space
There is not always opera at this interesting West Side house,
but when there is, it is new and different and well worth seeing.

- Village Light Opera of New York City

- Caffe Taci
Caffe Taci is not an Opera House. It is a an Opera Caffe. Not with singing
waiters, but with great singers, some of whom will be quite famous
someday. It is fun, the food is good and the music, well, go see for
yourself. And Taci is friendly. If you want to meet other opera lovers, fine.
If you want to be alone to listen to music, fine. Give it a shot. Support
the talent in this wonderful city. Plus, who knows who might walk in and
take the stage.
This season will see 3 Caffe Taci stars ( Jennifer Hines , Marc Heller & Cheryl Evans) perform at NY City Opera.

- Opera Theater of Connecticut, Clinton,Connecticut

- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), Newark,New Jersey
Although opera is not the norm at NJPAC, when operas or concerts are held
here, it is wonderful (and cheaper than in the City). Keep your eyes on this site
when your favorite artists are doing concerts in the City - sometimes they perform
here first. In 2003 Cecilia Bartoli performed here the same week she performed in
Carnegie Hall - for half the price. You don't often see this site mentioned on the
bigger opera search sites, so check in when your favorites are in town. AND, it's
just minutes from the City.

- McCarter Theatre, Princeton, New Jersey
A lovely theater in a lovely town, well worth the trip

- State Repetory Company of New Jersey,
